Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition and Conference

Education Business Plan Competition 2020 Semifinalists

We are thrilled to announce the 2020 Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition Semifinalists.

Hundreds of judges selected 28 ventures who will advance from Round 1 to Round 2 of the competition as Semifinalists. These ventures distinguished themselves through innovation and a commitment to scalable, global impact.

For the first time this year, the Milken-Penn GSE Education Business Plan Competition welcomes as Semifinalists the grand-prize winners of four renowned international education business plan competitions: UCL EDUCATE Demo Day Competition (United Kingdom and Europe), EduGrowth’s Edtech Business Plan Competition (Australia), Global EdTech Startups Awards LATAM (Latin America; two winners), and EdTech Denmark (Nordic region). These celebrated international ventures—CanopyLAB, CloudLabs, Dystech, Naturebytes, WriteWise—will submit applications that will be judged alongside the other 23 semifinalists for a chance to compete as finalists.

“We are thrilled that these impressive and competitive education entrepreneurs representing diverse regions of the world are getting the visibility, access, and opportunity to compete in the most prestigious competition in the world,” said Michael Golden, Executive Director of Catalyst @ Penn GSE.  “We look forward to including more international competition winners from other areas of the world in the future.”

In Round 2, Semifinalists will be evaluated by a new group of online judges to determine the six to eight finalists who will go on to compete for tens of thousands of dollars in cash and prizes at the 2020 Finalist Pitch Competition on October 6, 2020.
